Hardcase is fighting along with the 501st legion under the command of General Krell on the “Shadow World” of Umbara against native soldiers. The whole operation turns out as a catastrophe for the Republic forces as many clones are getting killed by the Umbaran militia due to the shadowy terrain providing them natural cover.⠀

The 501st’s main target is a hostile air base, where Hardcase eventually makes a fateful decision later on.
